On Friday, January 26, 2024, a workshop/consultation was successfully held with entities at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce Niš, aimed at improving the regulatory framework in the hospitality sector. The organizers of this workshop were the World Bank, the Republic Secretariat for Public Policies, and the Chamber of Commerce Niš.
Through the project "EU for a Better Business Environment" (EU4BE), the Government of the Republic of Serbia, in collaboration with the World Bank and with the support of the European Union, along with the Republic Secretariat for Public Policies and the Ministry of Economy, continues to work on improving the business environment, which includes simplifying the regulatory framework and creating tools to help economic entities better understand and more easily and effectively fulfil legal obligations.
One of the main topics addressed during the workshop in Niš is the Registry of Administrative Procedures (RAP portal), which represents a unique information point for businesses and citizens, providing data on all administrative procedures and requests in various business areas.
Additionally, a tool was presented to facilitate understanding of obligations of businesses in this sector, by organizing the obligations in units called "business episode." This digital tool, in one place and in an updated manner, illustrates the sequence of necessary steps in conducting daily business activities in a specific economic area.
We thank the Chamber of Commerce Niš for the trust shown, the achieved collaboration, and for enabling the organization of this workshop, which played an important role in contributing to easier, more concise, efficient, and cost-effective daily business operations for economic entities.
